When they signed with Europa the label were keen on them being much more of a electronic group.
So they changed the name and line up, although Bob did leave the band before all this happened.
But now Europa has folded the band felt they enjoyed playing more as a live group rather than using drum machines and samples.
They have been rehearsing with Rees who was in the original line up but left the band when his other band he played with took off and had a no.1 around the world.
That band was Dirty Vegas and Rees was on tour for two years.
The band have stayed friends with Rees, in fact he played at Emma and Chi's wedding, and decided to all get back together.

Robert has decided not to rejoin The Modern as he is going to concentrate on music that is closer to his heart which is much more progressive rock than space disco electro.
The Modern wish him all the best in his quest for the Pick of Destiny.
